Can you believe we have already had 100 days of school this year!! It seems crazy but this year has flown by. As I get older, the years seem to start going faster. I think back and remember my grade 5 class, and it feels like it was only yesterday. As we think about 100 and 100s day, I want you to think about what the world will look like when you’re 100, so 90ish years from now. But don’t just think about the world, think about you: what will you have accomplished, what do you want to remember, what would you say to your 100 year old self.
For your blog this week, write a letter to your 100 year old self. In this letter, you can talk about things you hope you accomplished, things you want them to remember from this year, and hopes for the world. This is your letter to you in the future, I can’t wait to read them!

I mean, I wrote this in 2020, and now, in 2109, you are FINALLY reading this letter!! Anyways, I’m just chillin’ here at home, writing this letter. Am I able to stop climate change? Do I have the courage and guts to stand up and do something about it? What did I say? How did I convince them? Maybe you could tell me how I persuaded people to help stop climate change, and I could use that technique now! Are people still racist and discriminatory because of religions? Are there still wars? Do we finally have peace?
Did I design our house? Is it futuristic or like houses in 2020? How many high tech things are in our house? It’s a smart house, right? It better be. How many children do I have? Are they like I am (was for you!) right now? Do my kids love sports, art, tech and animals too? Do I have any grandchildren? Is my husband nice? Is he the kind of guy I wanted him to be? Like, y'know, athletic, artsy, techy, animal lover, smart, pretty, fun, RICH….? Do I have nieces and nephews? How are my siblings? Speaking of which.. How are my PARENTS?!! I hope they’re good. Same with the rest of our/my family.
Two last questions: what does the Earth look like now? Beautiful, or destroyed? And.. have you traveled across the globe yet as a famous explorer? Is there going to be a potion to make people eternal?

Anyways, I wanted to ask you a few questions about the world and how I made a difference. Firstly, who is the prime minister of Canada and do you know them personally? I asked this because one of our friends wanted to be prime minister. Secondly, have scientists discovered 4th dimensional movies? We already have discovered the 4th dimension but not in moving and talking imagery. Lastly, am I the worlds best soccer player? Obviously I really want to be well known when I am a soccer player.

That's some of the accomplishments I would have wanted to happen and tell me if it did when you send me back a letter. Now i wanted to ask about our earth, does anything look more different or weird but still cool? Or is the earth completely damaged now? And if it was completely damaged would we go to a different planet like mars. Oh also, speaking of planets, are there any new planets? How about new seasons or months or days of the week? What about new countries?! Or even new colors. What about the electronics? How would that look? And the houses, will they look even better? I must admit, I'm getting my imagination crazy with all these questions, but I really hope your answer to some of those questions are yes like for example new countries! Wouldn't that be cool? I'm pretty excited for the future but then I’m not. I am because it might look way cooler or it might just be damaged. Anyways enough with the questions, but I don’t think 100 year old me aka you would remember in grade 5 where our teacher, Ms. Bourne gave us this assignment for homework but it sure was fun.
